Christine Sparks and Balius Emerald (better known as "Hopper") ride their way to FIRST place for the SECOND year in the North American Trail Ride Conference, Region One. This year they were also presented with the prestigious Pat Ersepke award, the article stated.  It was ONLY their second year of competition and both placed first in the novice lightweight division, in a sport usually dominated by Arabians!  Hopper is the grandson of Las, out of his daughter, Brier Patch Rabbit.  Information gained from the March/April issue of the American Connemara Magazine's article by Kathy Nixon and Pat Ashworth entitled "NATRC Award".  ( Another avenue for Connemaras to excel in!)

Blue Oaks Bodhran, by Las out of Arabian mare Mica, gives a hug to his good friend Dawn!  Bodhran is now residing in the Novato, CA area.

Wild Flower's Claire by Lasrachai out of Blue Ridge Cedar Creek  owned by Vickie Faulkner who reports that she is very gentle and is often "borrowed" to teach children who have never ridden before that Connemara ponies are fun and NOT scary!
